THE COUNCIL'S MANDATES

The Financial Stability Council (FSC) works proactively with financial regulatory authorities and relevant entities to monitor developments, assess potential systemic risks, and provide informed guidance on subjects related to financial stability.

The Council shall propose financial controls and rules, and additional regulations and legislation supporting financial regulatory and other authorities, in a manner that serves financial stability in line with global regulatory best practices.

Responsibilities

Collaboration among relevant entities

Catalyse cooperation between financial regulatory authorities and other authorities, including financial services authorities in the financial free zones.

Promoting discipline in the financial system

Providing technical support to financial regulatory and other authorities on issues related to financial stability soundness

Monitoring of implementing financial stability policies

Overseeing how financial stability policies are implemented, evaluating their effectiveness, and recommending improvements—particularly for systemically important institutions and financial infrastructure.
